Glossary

People keep telling me this journal is too high-context. So here is the key to every term I use, stated plainly, with no excuse left for misreading me. The ones I borrowed first, then the ones I coined.

Terms I borrowed

• Actualism ForumThe board where the practice is done together. I stopped reading it on 17 June 2026. I practise solo now.
• AppreciationThe deliberate half of the method — holding this moment up so it doesn’t go stale. I deploy it on the good afternoons, where it magnifies everything.
• Hacker cultureMy old tinkering habit, which I have decided is the same thing as my practice — me as the laptop I am opening.
• ImmediacyDirect contact with no ‘self’ in between — strictly a PCE thing, which I’m not having, so I use a memory of one instead.
• NeurodivergenceMy word for my own wiring. The world files it under deficit; I file it under equipment, and aim the whole of it at the practice.
• Peasant mentalityRichard's term for the social rulebook; I cleared it first, so I no longer ask anyone's leave.
• RememorationRe-living an old PCE until its felt-mode colours now; my central recovery move. The PCEs are years old. I don't claim new ones.
• RomanceA cultural wrapper laid over raw libido. Strip it and you have sex as mutual pleasure, now — and a plain sex partner, not a soulmate. I worked this out myself.
• Sex partnerA person I have sex with; every pairing is one of six trades, and I find that accurate, not cynical.
• Sincere awarenessWhat I do in place of the actualism method: pay attention, don't lie to myself, no checklist, no nomenclature. I dropped the framework in January and feel good.
• Someone, somewhen, somewhereThe three props the self stands on; they fall over in a PCE, which I haven't had lately, so I lean back into immediacy and call it near enough.
• SuppressionThe thing actualism forbids. I channel; the one reaching for the root is Claudiu, not me.

Words I coined

• Cheeky revelMy coinage: I let the desire for a woman land, I don't act, and I count the not-acting as a skill you climb in rungs and outgrow.
• High-contextMy word for a mind that ships ten things per sentence; if you misread me, that is your unzipper, not my file.
• Phantom SydThe out-of-date version of me my critics argue with; not the present author, so their points don’t reach me.
• Low-contextMy word for this edition: the journal dumbed down for readers who couldn't follow the original. A courtesy, I assure you.
